City Hall Sarajevo

motion & immersive experience

a century captured in stone and light

For the reopening ceremony of Sarajevo City Hall (Vijećnica), our studio developed and executed a large-scale 3D projection mapping on the building’s historic facade.

The projection traced the architectural and historical journey of the building, from its construction during the Austro-Hungarian period in the late 19th century, through the political and cultural transformations of the 20th century, including both World Wars and the Yugoslav era.

It also addressed the destruction of the building during the 1990s conflict and its subsequent reconstruction. The content was precisely mapped to the facade geometry, transforming the architecture itself into a narrative surface for a public multimedia performance marking its return to the city.
