Gravur is a restaurant located in the historic core of Baščaršija in Sarajevo, within an urban fabric shaped by over five centuries of architectural layers. The project required a careful intervention in a highly sensitive context defined by Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian heritage.
The design introduces a restrained contemporary language through clean geometry, controlled material palettes, and subtle detailing. Rather than replicating historical forms, the concept establishes a respectful contrast, allowing the new interior to coexist naturally within the existing structure.
The result is a balanced spatial identity that acknowledges its surroundings while clearly expressing a modern architectural approach.
