Portal is our internally developed platform dedicated to historical urban research and reconstruction. The project combines archival drawings, historical photographs, maps, and written records to build an accurate and layered understanding of specific city locations.

Rather than focusing only on 3D modeling, the process involved comparing multiple historical sources in order to reconstruct missing elements and clarify how particular areas evolved over time. Each digital model is based on documented material, ensuring consistency with available historical evidence.

The core idea of Portal is to allow a single location to be viewed across different time periods. For example, a building that has stood for more than 100 years can be explored within its changing surroundings, revealing how streets, neighboring structures, and public spaces transformed around it. The platform presents urban history as a spatial timeline, making long-term change visible and understandable.
